Reload Announces Giga Terminal’s Warehouse Expansion in Zambia
Reload Logistics, a leading end-to-end supply chain solutions provider in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond, is proud to announce the expansion of its Reload Giga Terminal (RGT) facility in Zambia. This expansion strengthens Reload’s position as a leader in facilitating trade within the region, reinforcing our commitment to delivering unparalleled service excellence.
Key Highlights
- Strategic Location Enhances Efficiency
Located in Kasumbalesa a few kilometers from the Congo – Zambia border, the facility is perfectly positioned for easy access and eliminates unnecessary delays. Being accredited by the Zambian Revenue Authority (ZRA) fast-tracks customs clearance, allowing for same-day offloading and reloading of trucks with minimal paperwork, inspections, and delays.
- Increased Storage Capacity
The expansion strengthens RGT’s storage capacity as the facility now offers 60,000 sqm of covered storage and 20,000 sqm of secure bonded yard, catering to a wider range of client needs. This expansion ensures efficient cargo handling and ample space for diverse commodities.
- Security Measures
RGT prioritizes client cargo security. The premises are under 24/7 surveillance with strategically placed cameras and dedicated security personnel patrolling day and night.
- Efficient Cargo Handling
RGT adheres to the FIFO (First-In-First-Out) method for cargo handling, ensuring efficient inventory management. However, the facility remains flexible to accommodate specific client requirements.
- Ample Parking Space
The expansion includes a designated truck parking area that can accommodate over 1000 trucks which ensures efficient loading and unloading operations for clients.
- Diverse Storage Solutions for Various Commodities
Beyond its storage capacity, RGT caters to a wide range of commodities. The facility is equipped to handle copper concentrate, copper cathodes, sulphur, blisters, and more. This versatility makes the RGT a one-stop solution for all your warehousing needs in Zambia.
